Writing, Sour Skittles, and other driving passions…
April 14th, 2008
Okay, so now is the time that I do what every other author is doing and start my own blog. Yes! I feel like a real grown-up now; like I’ve graduated into some sophisticated, “techie” society where I can pour my heart out and hopefully get some feedback…
Well, okay, it’s really not that Earth-shattering. But, here’s what to expect from me on my blog.
Expectation #1 Expect for me to talk about writing A LOT! That’s what I do, I write. My favorite genre: Young Adult (although you’ll notice that I’ve written books for adults as well, YA is my passion.)
Expectation #2 Expect to see me eating Sour Skittles from time-to-time as I’m working on the next big thing. I am addicted to Sour Skittles, probably because chocolate would make my thighs look like cottage cheese (which is never a good thing) and the little brightly-colored bits in that lime green bag just seem to call to me, and like the characters’ voices in my head that scream to be released, I must obey the Skittles! (But please do keep in mind that Gummy Bears run a very close second with me).
Expectation #3 Expect to see a few cute photos of my puppy (I mean, after all, you have to see her while she’s still a baby, right?). She’s a toy poodle named Cloe’, and she’s cute as a button; into EVERYTHING, but cute.
And that’s about it. Feel free to pick my brain, and I’ll share what I’m kicking around in mine just the same.
’til next time~ Lee Ann

Um, didn’t I hear from somewhere–People magazine or David Letterman maybe–that you also have kids in addition to that cute little doggie? Some pictures of them occasionally would be nice too!
Surely you didn’t think I would only post lovey-dovey comments here just because you’re my best friend and writing partner? What the French Toast were you thinking?

I’m looking forward to reading your blog – and seeing pictures of Cloe’. She sounds great!
What are you currently working on?

Hi, Phyllis! Yes, all is well. So glad you dropped me a few lines. Glad to see you, too, Big Mike!
Yes, Joycee Poo, I have some pretty cute kids. But, my boys don’t let me take as many photos of them as I used to when they were younger; something to do with a coolness factor. But the dog, she’s a regular photo “hound”!
Kim, I’m working on a new YA series. The first book is completed and in the hands of an agent for review (fingers and toes crossed), and it is also being read by an editor (eyes crossed too).
